CHIPINGE – Forty exhibitors have so far registered to participate at the inaugural Chipinge Chamber of Micro, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Business Expo to be held at Gonye and Sons Golf Course Complex in Chipinge from August 5-6, 2022.
Chipinge Secretary general for the chamber, Isee Zihwi said registration is goingon until August 2, 2022, and the number of exhibitors is expected to rise to over 100.
The objective of the exhibition is to develop and strengthen the business community in Chipinge.
The Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Sithembiso Nyoni is expected to be the Guest of honour. The expo will run under the theme; ‘Reviving Micro-Small to Medium Enterprises in Post Cyclone Idai and COVID-19 era.’
The SMEs president, Daniel Chinyemba, the provincial head Industry and Commerce Kupukani Masunungure, and provincial chair for SMEs, Moses Magura will be part of the delegates at the expo.

The public is invited to the expo, and adults will pay US$2 to enter while children will pay US$1, according to Zihwi. There will be lots of entertainment for the whole family, including jumping castles and face painting for kids. For adults, there will be braai.
Music will be provided by local, and several other artists including gospel diva, Cloris, Blessing Shumba and Baba Tencen.
“We are expecting 100 exhibitors and our closing day for registration is August 2. On August 4, we will be slotting stands to our exhibitors. The registration fee for micro-enterprises is US$5, for small enterprises, it’s US$10, medium enterprises will pay the US $20 while corporates and NGOs will pay the US $100,” said Zihwi.
