Kombayi said the procurement is anchored on building a sustainable, prosperous city of choice by 2030.
“Four tractors and a Ford Everest vehicle were delivered to us today by Duly’s and as a local authority, we are very much happy about this development because these tractors are going to be dedicated towards ensuring quality service delivery to our valued clients, residents and stakeholders.
“Some of these tractors are going to be used for refuse collection and other tractors are going to be used for cutting grass by the department of housing and community services,” he said.
Duly’s Gweru Branch Business Unit Manager, Paul Simango said they are committed to supplying service delivery vehicles and equipment to help the local authority implement its service delivery mandate.
“As Duly’s, we are committed to supplying the local authority with service delivery vehicles and equipment to allow it to implement service delivery issues especially in the health sector,” he said.
The leading agriculture equipment dealer is also providing bins in the city centre as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to promote health lifestyles in the Midlands.
