MUTARE – Two Mutare City Council managers walked away with top prizes at the Zimbabwe Chief Executive Officers’ Network Awards held at the Meikles Hotel in Harare on Friday.

In addition, the local authority was voted the most outstanding local authority for service delivery.

The managers who raised the eastern border city’s flag high were the local authority’s Public Relations Officer Spren Mutiwi and The Director of Engineering and Technical Services, Engineer Maxwell Kerith.

Mtiwi was given the prize for outstanding Public Relations Personnel award. Engineer Kerith clinched the award for best Engineer in all urban local authorities.

Kerith’s award was given in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the business economic development in Mutare. Mutiwi’s award was given in recognition of his excellent leadership, business savvy and foresight in leading a reputable organization in corporate Zimbabwe with positive impact in the country.

Zimbabwe CEO’s Network is an exclusive CEO peer group organization that leads opportunities for learning and development through peer group meetings facilitated by experienced CEO Group Leaders. There is also one-on-one mentoring, a customized curriculum and focused learning events throughout the year.

Mutiwi said he dedicated the prizes to residents and stakeholders.

“These two recognitions indeed belong to the City residents and stakeholders.  They are the ones who made it possible to scoop the awards through their various roles and participation in the activities of the City. We are proud as a City to get such accolades. They speak volume of the strides that council is doing in its strive to give better service to residents,” said Mtiwi.https://chipingetimes.co.zw/
