Chipinge – Well-wishers including the Minister of Information and Publicity, Monica Mutsvangwa have adopted 63 children who became orphans after their parents perished in the Chimanimani Bus Disaster that happened at Easter last month.

Disaster struck as the parents who were members of the Zion Christian Church were going for Easter celebrations at the church’s headquarters at Mbungo in Bikita.

Chimanimani District Development Coordinator (DDC) Joseph Manyurapasi confirmed the development and said some of the adopters were Minister Mutsvangwa, the ZCC, individuals and MP for Chimanimani East, Joshua Sacco.

“A total of 63 children will be assisted. This includes every child whether he or she is school going age or not. Some lost mothers and others fathers. Minister Mutsvangwa and Sacco pledged to assist some of the children,” said Manyurapasi.
