MUTEMA-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that the ruling Zanu PF is destined to continue reigning, and no opposition party can stop the ‘revolutionary’ party.
Addressing thousands of party supporters gathered at Mutema High School in Chipinge on Saturday to launch the party’s election roadmap, Mnangagwa said Zanu PF is unstoppable.
“No one will stop Zanu PF because it is unstoppable. This is the only ruling party that will continue to govern and exist,” he said.
Mnangagwa also added that his Government has done a lot in power generation, infrastructure development and agriculture where farmers received inputs under the presidential scheme.
“We are building roads and dams. We are also installing solar boreholes in every village across the cross. We have solved the fuel crisis and now fuel is available at every service station. We have electricity after Government built two more lines at Hwange,” said Mnangagwa.
He acknowledged that many urban authorities are run by the opposition and appealed to the urban electorate to vote for ‘the only power which brought freedom’.
“Most councils in urban areas are not under our party. Let’s go and vote for our own people in those councils. Our people will stand for and represent us well,” he said
The much anticipated general election is set for August 23, 2023. Mnangagwa’s main opposition is the Nelson Chamisa-led Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC).
