OK launches 2023 Grand Challenge

MIRROR REPORTERS

MASVINGO – Listed Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) giant retailer OK Zimbabwe Limited has launched its Grand Challenge Carnivals, the largest and longest-running retail promotion in Zimbabwe.
The Grand Challenge which will see OK’s customers winning US$1 million worth of prizes over eight weeks, was launched across the chain supermarket’s 52 branches nationwide on Saturday. Over 40 Nissan NP200s and a new Generation Ford Ranger double cab are up for grabs, OK Gweru branch manager Tore Magurira confirmed to The Mirror.
The prizes include shopping vouchers.
The duration of the event in its thirty-fifth year running is from April 5 to June 3, 2023, and the carnivals began with a procession from stores across towns and cities.
OK Masvingo branch manager Gracious Chahuruva said each branch has a weekly ZWL$40 000 shopping voucher winner, and the program will run for eight weeks leading to the national draw.
The Grand Challenge is courtesy of a diverse network of over 200 suppliers including National Foods, Delta Beverages, Schweppes and others.
To qualify for a coupon and enter the weekly ZWL$40 000 voucher race one must only purchase goods worth ZWL$10 000. For the Grand draw, one purchases supplier partner-listed goods and gets a coupon for the NP200 vehicles and the Grand Ford Ranger.
“One can register for the OK Grand Challenge in stores on our tills or through our help desk or alternately through his or her mobile phone by dialling *189# and following instructions or on our WhatsApp number at 0788788034,” the managers said.
The OK Grand Challenge was launched in 1988.
Marshall Chara and Collen Mandhlazi won last week’s ZWL$40 000 vouchers at OK Gweru and OK Masvingo branches respectively.
OK has introduced a refreshed logo with a modern and cleaner icon and a payoff line that says, “My Happy Place.”
OK Zimbabwe continues to grow its branch network under diverse brands like OK Stores, OK Mart, Bon Marche and the recently acquired Food Lovers.
