Police appoints new spokesperson for Manicaland

MUTARE – Inspector Nobert Muzondo has been appointed the new provincial Police spokesperson for Manicaland.

He takes over from Inspector Luxson Chananda who retired in September last year.

Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka has since been holding fort as an acting spokesperson. 

Prior to this appointment, Muzondo was Officer-in -Charge crime at Mutare Rural Police camp. He brings extensive experience spanning over two decades working in Public Relations office.

“From depot, I was posted to Masvingo Rural. I had a stint in Triangle but not in the capacity of a PR personnel as I was in investigations department,” he said.

Some of the positions he also held are Chivi Community and Liaison Officer between 2000-2006, Community Liaison Officer for Mwenezi and Masvingo East District Spokesperson.

Between 2011-2018, he was Mashonaland East Provincial Spokesperson before moving to Manicaland in 2018.https://chipingetimes.co.zw
