MIDLANDS- Gweru-based newcomers Sheasham FC look forward to improving their form in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League as they seek their first win when they face fellow newcomers Greenfuel at Mandava Stadium on Sunday. Sheasham FC is still winless after four outings.
They have drawn 0-0 with Chicken Inn in their first game of the season before 1-1 identical draws with Yadah FC and returnees Hwange FC. The construction boys got a baptism of fire from Harare giants Dynamos after a 4-0 thumping.
Sheasham FC amassed three points out of a possible 12 and is at position 15.
Their opponents are also still searching for their first win. They recently lost 2-1 to fellow eastern region rivals Manica Diamonds.
The Chisumbanje-based side is at the bottom of the log with only a single point. The ‘ethanol boys’ have suffered three defeats so far. Greenfuel has since conceded three goals from their last two games and scored once.
Speaking to Mirror Sport, Sheasham FC Chairman Reginald Chidavanyika said the game against Hwange was satisfactory. He went on to say there is a need to put in more goals.
“ We have made a slow start to the season. The game against Hwange was satisfactory, but we need to score more goals probably for a win”, he said.
